Our journey of giving back
Our founder, a former child in foster care, experienced firsthand the difference a loving home and essential resources can make. This personal journey ignited a passion to help others less fortunate. Remembering the struggles of a single mom providing for her children, Something Good 4 The Hood Inc. was born. We are committed to providing school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other essential needs to foster children and those in low-income neighborhoods across Indianapolis, ensuring they start the school year right.
Building confidence, fostering faith
The most important impact we seek to create is instilling confidence in children right from the beginning of the school year. We want them to have faith in God as their guide and protector, a present help in times of need. By ensuring they never have to worry about lacking essential items, we aim to eliminate the negative impact that financial disparity can have on their focus and self-esteem. We believe providing these essentials is key to building their inherent confidence and potential.
